Black Swan Green tells a year of the life of the teenage boy, Jason, who stutters and stammers as well as getting bullied in school . Each chapter tells a new event of a new month of the year. Each of the stories and characters are well-developed and explains Jason's personality. Slang is used in this book so that the readers are able to know that the book is written in the perspective of a teenager. I found some of the events in the book quite boring but some of them were really interesting such as a chapter named 'Hangman'. Overall, it was a good book.
